Gardens are going in at OTR... Look forward to a new sand box, seating, more flowers and some veggies and herbs. We will not be planting as many veggies as in the past but you will see kitchen staples like tomatoes, and herbs. We are looking forward to a great garden year and hopefully one with no flooding...
The green house is full of plants , so Sunday in the summer like heat we cleared pathes and repaired our raised beds (flattened by last summers Flood) Judy started transplanting yester day. The garden should come to life over the next couple of weeks!
Come on down for
this month's Songwriters in the Round at On the Rise Bakery. Hosted by Derek
Burkins, this month's special guests include Phil Henry and Gary Moon. As
always, come early for wood-fired pizza and stay late for excellent music,
drinks, and desserts
Some have been asking about our garden plans. Yes we will still be planting a garden. Chel just spaded in our cover crop for us a couple of days ago. We will be planting some herbs and a few tomato vines but most of our vegtable growing operation will be off site on much higher ground. We are going to plant a lot of flowers and a few sculptures on Esplanade. If it is not snowing this coming week we might see you out in the garden getting ready for a new season. Our green house is full of beautiful plants!
We have a great week of music at OTR. Blue grass, Irish Session and this Friday April 22 we have local favorites Red Hot Juba returning to warm up the room. Thanks to all of you who stopped by our tent at the Global Picknik in City Hall Park today. It was fun despite the overcast weather.
