At On the Rise Bakery's CRAFT NITE OUT! last Tuesday we had a dynamic and productive first Christmas Craft session with needle feting and button making. Crafters went away with sets of refrigerator magnets all packaged up for gifts... tree ornaments, wall hangings, felted X- mas trees, and the cutest gnomes you ever saw. We're offering the very same workshop this coming Tuesday, 6:30 to 8:30 at the Bakery. The following is a repeat of last week's posting:

Here's what's up for Dec 8:
Christmas ornaments and gifts: NEEDLE FELTING AND BUTTON MAKING--2 crafts, endless possibilities.

NEEDLE FELTING: Anybody who can poke a needle into fabric can do this! Repeatedly poke fleece roving with a barbed needle and it adheres to itself and/or a fabric base. Use different colors of roving and yarns to design your own picture.  Felt over a styrofoam ball , stud with shiny baubles and hang on your tree...Flat felt a tree or santa, make a little gnome; create a cell phone pouch or small purse as a gift.
$10 class fee. BYO roving or buy ours ($5 per bag material fee)

BUTTON MAKING: With button machines. Pins, frig. magnets, or buttons (to sew) are possibilities with button makers in 1" or 1 1/2" (round) sizes. Materials will be available to mount and package  3 large or 4 small buttons/magnets as gifts. Bring your own family photos, specialty papers, pressed flowers, greeting cards, old story books to cut. Plenty of papers will be available if you want to use ours.
$19 for 4 packages, $5 each package.
